Was ist mit Tino von Eckert? Auf der Webiste der Langen Knights wurde er bereits vor Wochen verabschiedet mit der Info das er nach Wiesbaden geht. Leider gibt es auf der Website der Phantoms keine INfo das er auch angekommen ist?
Welche Position wird er in Wiesbaden einnehmen?

IMHO - Coach Treber is a good coach. I like what he has done with the program as a whole, and I don't think that bad coaches are awarded positions on the National Team, either Junior or Senior. However, he just cannot get the Phantoms over the hump and into the GFL1. We have wasted 3 opportunities with superior talent the last 3 years. I don't want to take anything away from Franken and what they achieved this year, because they earned the title "Meister" in 2009. However, Wiesbaden had a better line, a better RB, a better defense, yet we just can't win the big game. You have to look at the HC position when this is not happening, and that falls on Michael Treber. It is time for a change in Wiesbaden.

Martin Habelt, even though I have disagreed with his "running up the score" tactics in the past, has shown an ability to win the big game. Whether or not he is the right guy to lead this program - I do not know, and honestly see it as "Football Forum" material. Why would he come to Wiesbaden with a team that is on the verge making it to the GFL1, a team with good finances, a good fan base, and a core of solid young players? Munich was just a "Very Bad" match-up for the Knights. Shannon and the Bandits ran for like 8,000 yards on Franken, and Munich had one of the top Defenses in the GFL1, and the Spread was no gimmick for the Cowboys who faced the likes of SHU, Plattling and Weinheim and shut these teams down for the most part. A series verses Plattling or Weinheim might well have landed Franken in the GFL1.

Regardless, I wish the Phantoms well next season. I look forward to opening weekend and the trash talk leading up to the season. GO PHANTOMS!

Gib' Treber die imports/Söldner, die die anderen Aufsteiger hatten, und WP spielt seit Jahren erfolgreich in der GFL. Es liegt nicht am Coaching, sondern an der Entscheidung, kein Geld für Spieler auszugeben.
