Gestern hab ich erfahren das der 'neue' MLB Cincinnati Reds Manager Dusty Baker, class of '67, an der High School meines Sohnes Del Campo war. Er hat einen Scheck fuer etliche tausende Dollars an die Schule geschrieben weil sie endlich die Genehmigung erhielten Scheinwerfer auf dem Football Feld zu haben.

Echt toll....

Der Sportgeist ist bei den Amis ja immer einige Dollars wert und das ist auch gut so.

Ich befürchte ja schon fast das die High School ihr Euipment in einem 40 Fuss Seecontainer aufbewahren müssen.

Dieses e-mail bekam ich heute von unserem Football coach. Ich fand den so doll das ich ihn hier gerne posten moechte.



To all the Parents/Guardians/Fans,

On behalf of my coaches, the players, and myself I would like to thank
you for your undying and selfless support. Although many of you may not
know, I do in fact "hear" how hard you cheer for our kids. Your
encouragement, even when times get tough and we're not operating on all
"eleven (11) cylinders" is so very positive and rewarding. The
momentum and spirit you bring to our games is just totally
"outstanding." You are making a difference! It's a pleasure to go to
other team's home fields everywhere we go and see in almost every case
our "fans in numbers" and "voice" larger than the home team. I know
many times it is difficult for some of you to leave your jobs and homes
at that hour and again, it is so appreciated. Please continue to come
out for our last three games in full support. The next two will be
critical to us winning our 4th C.A.L. championship at the freshmen level
and joining the ranks of all the past freshmen teams who have
accomplished this feat and moved on to the Varsity and JV levels doing
the same. Cougar pride and I personally thank each and every one of you
from the bottom of my heart for your support.
