Die USFL gründet die Houston Gamblers und lässt Sie in Tennesse spielen.
Die XFL denkt sich : Ha! Wir gründen einfach ein Team in Houston und lasse es aber wirklich in Houston spielen (die Roughnecks)...

Dann fusioniert man beide Ligen zur UFL und die USFL-Divison übernimmt lieber den Namen der XFL-Roughnecks, weil davon gibt es ja vielleicht wirklich Fans in Houston... Die neuen Roughnecks behalten aber die Historie&Erfolge der Gamblers.

2 Jahre später nennt man die Houston Roughnecks einfach wieder um die Houston Gamblers ?

Und man ist jetzt übrigens schon im 3 Stadion in Houston : TDECU Stadium, Rice Stadium und jetzt Shell Energy Stadium
