I think I have figured out who 2 GFL SOUTH FAN is, he's obviously from Wiesbaden as he don't know shit about the GFL2 other than his own team, but that is cool, there is probably 3000 other alter ego's on this Site:
QB's: Hazel and Kattre are head and shoulders above all other QB's in the GFL2 South, and in my humble opinion, Hazel is the best. For those of you who didn't see the long run verses Wiesbaden, this cat has some wheels! Kattre plays in a different system and makes up for the mediocre stable of RB's in Franken. All I can say about the preseason hype of like 20 RB's in Franken OVER RATED!
RB's: Personally, I like Perrier the best of all the Wiesbaden backs, although Buskirk is as Corpse calls, "the human highlight reel". Clearly, the BEST BACKFIELD, TAKE YOUR PICK is in Wiesbaden. If Buskirk, Perrier, Matz or Jalloh played at any other team in the South, they would start.
WR's: The best WR's in the GFL2 reside in Plattling and Franken! Personally, I take Blakely as the best in the South with Simmons a close 2nd. Sorry SOUTH FAN, no one owns Blakely in the South. I've seen the Plattling - Wiesbaden match-up live twice in Wiesbaden, and the Wiesbaden - Plattling 2 tape, and Blakely verses Colbert (your proclaimed #1) was not even fair, sorry Kenny, you are a good CB with a huge upside, but you were dominated the first quarter! Rohn and Farghali are not too far behind, all dominant, can take over a game. I love ya Robin Bräuer, you've come a long way kid, but go to Plattling or Franken and you are an immediate #3 receiver. Starzengruber is dominant when he plays, Plattling just can't seem to keep him on the field! Gunther is another great talent, just further down the list in my opinion.
OL: Wiesbaden has 2 of the best in the GFL 2 in Cinn and Bogner. The best OL in the South is still Bastian Schober. You can never count out the Fruchtl Brothers in Plattling, both DOMINATED Wiesbaden the 2nd game, and Wiesbaden has the strongest Front 7 in the South! Sorry other OL's from Montabaur, SSA and SH, I just am not familiar enough with your OL YET to make the call.
TE: Van der Meij?? He has the body for the position, but in my opinion, drops too many balls, and his blocking is suspect. He had a HUGE catch over the middle in Wiesbaden, and is my #2 TE, but the best TE in GFL2 South is in Franken #86 Welker. He doesn't have huge #'s, but is a #6 OL, and great hands when needed! THAT is what I want from my TE!
Defense:
DL Mueller and Riegen are studs in Wiesbaden, although they came up snake eyes in the biggest game of the year in Plattling. Both dominated the first game though, and they keep the pressure on opposing QB's to keep from exposing our secondary. Bastian Schober goes both ways at times, he is also dominant at nose, but we will leave him off for sake of discussion. I do remember Thielen from SH, he is also very fast, dominant. Kaufmann from Montabaur is also good. I also add Eric Swift to that list from Plattling, very fast, a great pass rusher!
LB's: Several jump out at me. First, in Wiesbaden, Ergün is the best of our group. Early season, the SH had some hammers, #44 or 54 seems to jump out at me. Franken has Mehanovic and Pohlmann #2 I think, and Plattling has a fine young pair in Telfair and Schreiner. Butler plays OLB this year in Plattling, but I see him more a SS/FS type now.
CB's: the best in the GFL2 is still Alan Reed in Franken, even though he is 31 or 32 now. Hennek is also really good in Plattling, we chose to throw the other way. Christoph Simmeit has great potential, just inconsistent from Kirchdorf.
Safeties - Butler is a lock at SS, my pick for the best defensive player in the GFL2 this season. Hackley has a huge upside, I have no idea where you got your 3 INT's on Blakely over the middle piece. His problem is inconsistency. Hazel has 9 TD's and 1 INT against us this season, and the INT was a BS no call on a pass interference on Farghali. You need to go back to Wikipedia on this one
I love the Phantoms...my team, but don't go spouting BS you can't back up! Plattling's Offense KILLED US, and we had lingering effects for 2 games afterward till we FINALLY played some Defense this weekend!
