Kann es sein, dass Du das Kleingedruckte nicht gelesen hast? Imho bezieht sich der Vorjahrespreis bei Verlängerung - und ich mache das auch schon viele Jahre - auf den Original-Preis in USD. Und da dieser im Vergleich zum Euro im letzten Jahr massiv gestiegen ist, kommt eben der deutlich höhere Euro-Preis zustande.

Den Haken für auto-renew habe ich dann entfernt, da ich mir noch unsicher war. Als ich ihn Ende Juli wieder setzen wollte, gab es die Checkbox gar nicht mehr.

Okay, ich nehme alles zurück und behaupte das Gegenteil
Vielleicht hat in New York jemand nachgerechnet und festgestellt, dass der aktuelle EUR-USD-Kurs den Gewinn massiv senkt, weshalb die Verlängerung dann nicht mehr zu dem Preis möglich war?

Das ist echt mal interessant, weil ich hatte auch immer das Season Plus Abo, in meiner Auto-Renewal stand aber nix davon, sondern nur das hier:

Daher habe ich lieber gekündigt und mich neu umgesehen... Ach ja, letztes Jahr hatte ich das Abo im Urlaub in UK abgeschlossen.

Ok, aber dann hattest du doch auch das Angebot für 179,99 eur zu verlängern oder war das nur für die regular season?

Das Angebot hatte ich, aber da stand eben nirgends Season Plus. Und das war mir dann zu unsicher. Nicht dass im am Ende den normalen Preis zahle

Ist es eine sichere Methode per proxy (also in einem anderen Land) zu zahlen, und wie viel euro spart man dadurch?

Wer macht denn so was?

Falls du mich meinst: Leute die Geld sparen wollen... Wenn man dadurch für den vollen Gamepass (ohne Season +) gerade mal 119 € berappen muss, anstatt 180 €, fängt man schon an zu überlegen...

Das würde doch niemand öffentlich Posten, damit das verhindert wird. meinste nicht?

Das juckt doch irgendwelche Manager nicht, wie man so eine Sperre umgeht, da das nur wenige machen. Hier ist es ja schon seit Jahren öffentlich
