Ich denke alle Aufsteiger werden in der diesjährigen Saison ein gewichtiges Wörtchen mitreden. Gefühlt und zwischen den Zeilen gelesen scheint bei den Nürnberg Rams bzgl. Attraktivität des Vereins und des dort gebotenen Umfelds wirklich viel getan zu werden. Die Zugänge scheinen ja nicht abzureißen.

Auch Frankfurt Universe haben einiges zu vermelden, und zum Glück nicht nur bzgl. einer Spielstätte. Die Zugänge dürfen sich ebenfalls sehen lassen und nach der Rückkehr von Coach Grahn werden die letzten Kanten rund geschliefen.

Allgäu Comets machen solide Arbeit im stillen Kämmerlein. Coach Brian ist sehr auf langfristigkeit bedacht und nutzt die Imports sinnvoll. Darmstadt wird wie jedes Jahr mit Sicherheit eine mehr als solide Mannschaft aufs Feld stellen und sind für mich mit Nürnberg Favorit.

Kaiserslautern ist für mich schwer einzuschätzen, hatten letztes Jahr einen starken RB. Die Teams in der GFL 2 werden nicht überrascht sein, einen starken RB zu begegnen.

Frankfurt Pirates - keine Ahnung, bekommt man sehr wenig mit. Und Kirchdorf dürfte auch dieses Jahr ein solider Gegner sein, wahrscheinlich bei einem gesund bleibenden Kader für jeden unangenehm zu spielen.

Wir in Holzgerlingen hatten bisher eine gute Vorbereitung für 2012 und es stehen noch ein paar Punkte auf der Liste die abgearbeitet werden müssen. Nach dem Abgang von Hamiko nach Hall und ein paar wichtigen Leistungsträgern wird man sehen wo wir uns in 2012 wiederfinden werden.

Im Großen und Ganzen ist die Liga für mich in diesem Jahr wesentlich ausgeglichener als 2011. In der Breite werden die Mannschaften sich eher auf Augenhöhe treffen als in 2011.

Bin froh wenn es endlich losgeht. Bis dahin, allen eine weiterhin erfolgreiche und verletzungsfreie Vorbereitung.

I like how you broke down the teams for this year very informative. My only comment would be this. You say most teams in GFL2 should be repared for a strong RB...true they should be, but if you cant stop that RB then your team is in for a long day. Last year we heard of all the teams that should have stopped our run game. If you look back at those teams that should have stopped it you will notice that those games we gained the most yards.

My point being this, everyone can claim to have a great run stopping defense. Only when we step on the field can they prove it.

If you had to rank the best defenses coming into this season who would they be?? In order, anyone else who would like to give there best defense please give your opinion also.

Really dont think you can put a ranking on an offense or defense until teams show up on the first gameday. Its not like the NFL or college that have cameras all over the place, scouting left and right giving us a chance to make an educated guess at *which is the best* Then,why should one just look at run stop ability by itself. What about the defense as a whole? Then look at the level of competiton between the Regionaliga and the GFL2. Is there that much difference? Maybe, depending on how well coach a team is over here. Last season, I saw a few teams use ONE....yea...ONE defensive coverage, an entire game, then they sat and cried when they gave up 35 or 40 points. As you come up a league, either this one or the next a coach needs to be able to establish more then one play for the teams defense to be successful. This is why we have friendship games, it give you a chance to scout your opponent a little bit IF you have to bock to make the trip, then you go into how dedicated the coaches are to be successful in a season. But as far as a *rank* from best to worse...I dont think that can be done until after week 1 or 2....maybe 3. And that just me taking the teams that are here...and the teams that came up in their own perpective. New season, wait and see who really shows up!

Very true post if any defense plays one coverage a game and allows that many points they need to be slapped (LOL) . I agree after week 2 or 3 we should be able to see who has a pretty good defense.

Did you really say Frankfurt had the best defense last year (LMAO) . You cant be serious. The best defense last year hands down was Mainz . I know you might say how and they lost so many games. If you look at their games the defense wasnt the problem. Their offense just sucked (anybody for Mainz on here Im just being honest) . Now 2nd or 3rd would come down to the Pikes and Universe....seeing how we shut u guys out with 0 points ...and our offense put 27 points up on your defense. We can look back over the course of the season at point totals which can be fluff but if we actually had a chance to see them in action that is how you can tell who was better. Myself, Walton and a few other guys came and watched you guys play Mainz and figured if you guys struggled that game with Ian before he got hurt you guys would have a true dog fight with us.

Just like most of you guys on here we are looking forward to the upcoming season and to see how everything plays out. For me I enjoy the season because it allows me (American) to see parts of Germany I have never even heard of. So best of luck to all the teams this year!!!

Und wenn intressiert das, wir schreiben 2012, 2011 ist Geschichte!
Alle Mannschaften haben sich verändert, sei's durch neue Trainer, oder neue Spieler!

Intressant ist welchen Job die Teams der 2 Liga Süd machen, informationspolitik, Homepage, USW. Da scheinen so manche Teams nicht mal Regio Format zu haben.
Wenn ich mir da die pirates anschaue, das kann nix werden, wer glaubt mit der selbstdarstellung kommt man weiter, na dann gute Nacht.

Im Moment scheint es das zwei Teams den besten Job machen, Universe und die Rams. Beide zeigen das Football kein saisongeschäft ist, den ganzen Winter immer wieder aktuelle Meldungen, Zugänge werden vorgestellt usw.
Comets , Darmstadt, Kaiserslautern, Kirchdorf, holzgerlingen wenige Infos, aber immerhin kommt ab und zu was.
Aber die Pirates scheinen noch im Winterschlaf zu sein.

I said if you are just looking at the numbers. pikes allowed more points than universe did.

Very true the Universe and Rams have truly shown that football is year round and not seasonal. They stay busy which is good. For some teams...mine included silence can be good or it can be bad (LOL). Its like a card game do you show your hand or do you hold it close and show nothing.

ja es ist halt aber so das football halt immernoch ne randsportart ist, was sich auch immer wieder in der außendarstellung spiegelt. Sicherlich ist es auch mal gut nicht alles preis zu geben, aber in regelmäßigen abstand news veröffentlichen, neue Spieler vorstellen um nen kontakt zu den fans zu bekommen ist doch das mindeste was man als verein tun sollte, verlangt ja keiner das hier jemand das playbook für 2012 abdruckt

Wer glaubt denn ernsthaft, daß er sich einen Wettbewerbsvorteil verschafft, indem er einen Neuzugang erst zum ersten Saisonspiel bekanntmacht? Das ist doch mehr als naiv.

Jeder halbwegs brauchbare Coach hat doch seine Quellen, daß er mitbekommt, wenn ein Spieler mit echtem Impact beim Gegner aufschlägt. Und wenns gleich mehrere sind, bleibt das doch sowieso nicht ihm Team.

The Rams...normally are not even suppose to be here, but Plattling decided to drop two leagues and left a spot open, and I dont blame them for taking it, because the competiton is stronger, and they can only get better. The Universe, are supposely putting together a *Powerhouse* team according to everything I have seen so far, and maybe they have, its no ones place to judge, but its their first year here and to cry *Champion* before the season start....sounds like the Eagles in Philly Its the quiet ones you really need to worry about. Only because they are NOT talking, which means one has no idea who they acquired and what they are doing exactly.

Wenn es um die Ticketpreise geht ist Universe aber ganz weit vorne dabei. Für die Tageskarte für einen Sitzplatz 13.00 Euro.
Da habe ich aber bei GFL Spielen auch schon weniger bezahlt und hatte sogar eine überdachte Tribüne.
